Welcome! This website has been created to serve as the archive repository for Haiku NewZ, which has been generously hosted by the NZ Poetry Society since its inception in 2006. As plans solidified for the NZPS website to move to a new host and configuration, it became clear that the Haiku NewZ archives would not be able to move and advice was given to ‘put them on a cloud’. As your editor is an old-fashioned kind of gal, she’s made this website and put them here.
As well as almost all the articles and essays that have been published on Haiku NewZ since 2006, the site includes the My Favourite Haiku occasional series and, most importantly, the Showcase of individual poets from Aotearoa New Zealand. Please enjoy.
